Actor Mike Conners Had a Quad Cities Connection.
Actor Mike Conners passed away last week at the ripe old age of 91. Conners was best known to Quad Cities viewers for his role of a TV detective in the 1970's drama 'Mannix.' But, the actor also had a deeper Quad Cities connection. In 1978, Conners was tapped to star in and narrate a promotional video about chiropractic for Palmer College.
The 12-and-a-half minute film starts with Conners walking along the Mississippi River in LeClaire park describing injuries he suffered performing his own stunts on the show.
