After almost two months of being closed due to Covid-19 pandemic, you will be able to go to the Bettendorf Public Library starting today (5/18/20).  Of course like anything reopening recently, be ready for new rules.

According to the Bettendorf Library website, until social distancing and group meeting size requirements return to regular levels, the Library will be open regular hours Monday-Saturday and offer modified services.

There will now be a "contactless" curb-side pickup.  This service will be available for library card holders only with a limit of 10 holds per card.  Once the patron receives notice the items are available for pickup, they may call the library between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday – Thursday, or 11 am- 4 pm on Friday-Saturday to schedule a time to pick-up materials. Patrons must schedule pick-up times in advance. Items will be available for pick-up on tables located outside the library building.

If you can't make it back to drop off what you still have, due dates on all materials have been extended until June 15, without fines.

While the computer area will be open, not every computer will be available with the 6 ft of social distancing in effect.

Before you arrive, do be aware that some services will not be available at this time.  On-site library collection areas, public meeting rooms, study rooms, outreach visits, public copier/fax, and notary services are temporarily unavailable to the public until further notice.

As with everything in life now, it's the first step towards a normal reopening.
