Did you watch the premiere of Yellowstone? Pretty good, right? Did you also know there was a song featured in the episode by an Iowa artist?

Hailey Whitters, a Shueyville, Iowa native and country singer announced on social media that one of her songs would be featured on the season four premiere of the Paramount show Yellowstone.  The 2015 song "Black Sheep" from her album of the same name is featured about six minutes into the show.

According to SavingCountryMusic.com, the show's music supervisor has promised to use the series as a platform to help promote many of the independent country artists and it's working. When Whiskey Myers had some songs featured during Season 1 and also made a personal appearance in a scene it boosted sales. Blackberry Smoke had eight songs placed through Season 2 of the series alone. 

It's almost as fun to watch the show to see which artists are featured as well follow the incredible storyline. Jason Isbell and many other country artists have been featured.
