If you use the Interstate 74 bridge to travel into Iowa; pop some Advil because your commute may just give you a headache.

We're following a story from OurQuadCities.com news partners that part of a crane working on the new Interstate 74 bridge has fallen into the Mississippi River. You can see it here.

Police warned motorists this afternoon that Interstate 74 south of where I-74, I-80 and I-280 meet is "nearly impassable due to drifting and blowing snow."

The new I-74 river bridge will begin to impact the Quad Cities skyline this spring if not sooner.

The I-74 River Bridge Facebook page detailed some lane reductions and a full closure of I-74 Eastbound/Southbound this weekend.
